The Stirling Golf Course Perimeter Walk is an easy, local favourite that loops around the edge of the course – perfect for a quick leg-stretch or a relaxed dog walk in green space, without needing to head out of town. Despite being so close to Stirling’s center, it feels surprisingly open with brilliant views across to Stirling Castle, the Old Town Jail and out towards the Ochil Hills on clear days.
One of the big perks of this route is how practical it is. You’ll find a fantastic public park, public toilets, dog waste bins and the Pavilion Café for a coffee, snack or post-walk treat. It’s a great walk year-round thanks to the facilities and easy access.
Because the path runs alongside an active golf course, it’s important to be courteous and safe: dogs are best kept on a lead throughout the perimeter sections and you should avoid letting them wander onto the course. Best to avoid awkward (and risky) moments with golfers and moving balls.
